    Client Engagement Manager

    What you will do: 

    Having built strong initial traction since our commercial launch in October 2021, we're now looking to expand our business development team. The Client Engagement Manager will work alongside our current team to drive the revenue making activity within the business. The Client Engagement Manager’s mission is to accelerate the growth and adoption of our platform in our target markets. The ideal candidate should have experience working with the private and public sector, and be passionate about driving change in the area of climate change and cementing us as the standard for carbon management. You should have a strong understanding of what delivers a good customer experience and demonstrate solid client management skills including expectation management, negotiation, and developing impactful and mutually beneficial solutions. You will work to understand client needs and present our platform as their solution. You will be working closely with the Head of Client Engagement and Delivery, and the Client Delivery Managers to ensure that clients are managed and supported, and revenue is maximised through upsell, cross sell, and account development activities. Our ideal candidate will be able to be in the London office 1-3 days a week. 

    Duties Include:
    Identify and create a strategic pipeline of prospective clients and partners throughout your assigned regions and sectors
    Manage inbound customer enquiries, liaising with other teams where relevant.
    Engage with key target clients, including trade associations, LEPs, councils and local authorities to develop regional and group programmes around the Climate Essentials platform.
    Build an accurate and dynamic pipeline of business across key user groups, stakeholders, and regions.
    Identify commercial opportunities via tender portals and build appealing and impactful bid submissions.
    Actively generate lead opportunities through various methods including attending relevant networking, industry events and exhibitions to drive qualified leads into the sales pipeline.
    Work with the Client Engagement team to develop attractive and mutually beneficial proposals for programmes of delivery.
    Manage the entire sales cycle from qualifying prospects through to closure, whilst ensuring KPIs and targets are met
    Relay client insight and technological requirements back to senior management
    Provide input on materials and content that showcase our solutions
    Communicate new product developments to prospective clients
    Nurture and build upon existing key client accounts
    Use the CRM to accurately maintain a sales pipeline, contact and company records, and meeting notes
    Identify new methods and opportunities for sales campaigns
    Some travel will be involved
    The Candidate:
    A university bachelor degree with a minimum level of 2:1 or equivalent experience
    2– 5 years’ experience in a service sales role
    Good commercial aptitude
    Bid writing experience is strongly desirable
    Experience working with public sector stakeholders is strongly desirable
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Comfortable presenting
    Strong organisational skills
    Excellent customer service, needs analysis, negotiation, and rapport building skills
    Experience using CRM software (preferably HubSpot)
    Passionate about finding ways to tackle the climate crisis (climate knowledge is a big bonus)

    Salary £32,000 - £37,000 based on experience
