    Climate Change Analyst Jr.




    As part of its development, the company is recruiting an ambitious Junior Climate Analyst who can provide technical support in the areas of climate change, carbon accounting, and data analysis. This individual will join the engineering team and work to assist our team and clients in the transition to a lower carbon economy and mitigate climate change. The successful candidate will have a STEM-related degree and demonstrate experience/knowledge of key transition planning concepts, including emissions measurement and target setting through established frameworks, Paris-aligned transition pathways, and relevant climate policy initiatives across geographies and sectors. 

    Climate science acumen, data analysis, numerical skills, and an understanding of physical climate impacts is a must.

    Duties Include 


    • Contributing to internal research relating to the estimation of carbon emissions, costs and savings and environmental impacts
    • Organising and analysing large datasets and producing quantitative and qualitative reports
    • Conducting research and consultancy projects related to climate mitigation, life cycle assessment, carbon accounting, and others
    • Researching climate mitigation strategies for particular business sectors and activities
    • Liaising with the internal team for the delivery of the desired climate mitigation assessments and environmental assessments
    • Managing own workload to meet project deadlines
    • Providing advice and guidance to clients and project teams
    • Undertaking key research topics and sharing outcomes effectively
    • Investigating new suppliers, techniques, tools, software, products, materials and innovations to achieve net-zero pledges for the business sector
    • Arranging and attending meetings, taking minutes and distributing actions
    • Assisting with pitches and tenders
    • Ensure conformity with all project design documentation requirements under respective carbon reporting and grant standards
    • Communicating findings orally and in writing (e.g. writing reports or producing PowerPoint slides) to innovators, partners and funders
    • Managing relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. innovators, partners, sector experts and funders)
    • Supporting business development efforts with technical knowledge (e.g. proposition development, marketing and sales, developing new proposals);


    What skills you will bring


    • Degree in engineering, climate science, maths or any other relevant STEM-related subject
    • Knowledge of climate change-related matters and motivation for accelerating net-zero transition
    • Excellent numerical ability, and thorough experience of data analysis
    • The ability to manage multiple on-going assignments simultaneously
    • Expertise in carbon accounting, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Science-Based Target Initiative, and other relevant frameworks is beneficial
    • Excellent IT skills, including a strong knowledge of Excel
    • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
    • Ability to produce structured, concise and meaningful reports, summarising results and justifying conclusions, containing very technical information
    • Excellent research and analytical skills
    • Outstanding written and spoken English (any other European language is a plus)
